Candle Wick Shoppe Blog

So the head evil geniuses here at the Candle Wick Shoppe have given this little witch a tiny smidgen of power over something.(insert maniacal laughter with fake mustache twirling) So this week I have been given the honor of picking a few items and offering a discount! That's right lovelies, you read that correct. I get to pick my favorite items in the shop, and let you guys get them at a discount. I've chosen the Soziety collection from Votivo! They are available in store at 15% off. So hurry on in and grab the amazing smells while they last.

We've expanded on our custom mojo bags! Here at Candle Wick, we're always coming up with new concoctions for you to carry for whatever it is you need, and we've done so again by adding on five new mojo bags to the ones we sell here in the shop.

Introducing (drum roll please):

Calming: This herbal combination is to help you if the day-to-day stresses are becoming too much. Carry it close to you, in your pocket or around your neck, and let the soothing energy wash over you.

Dreams: Put this one under your pillow for vivid, clearer, or prophetic dreams. This may be assistance for those of you that don't regularly remember your dreams.

Happiness: Who doesn't need a little bit of happiness? Hold this mojo bag in your right hand while you meditate and let the good feelings run through you.

Passion: This one is a little bit tricky, because passion could not only relate to the romantic sector of your life, but to how passionate you are about your job, about your interests, etc. If you're trying to reignite the flame between you and someone else, I would suggest wearing it around your neck. If for work, put it in your purse.

Wishes: Hold the wishes bag in both of your hands and tell it your desires. Put it under your pillow nightly and sleep on it. Do this until you feel confident that your wishes have been sent out into the universe and that someone is working on getting those desires for you.

We also make healing, love, money draw, protection and psychic awareness bags for more mojo wherever you go. Come on down and pick yours up today, they're only three dollars! AND if there's something that we have yet to make a bag for that you're interested in, please feel free to ask us to put one together for you!

You are finding new information every time you access your Akashic records, so there will always be something "never before wholly perceived in reality".

Hello, all! I've been on a writing kick for the last few days, and when my creative gears start moving, they usually start with my mojo bag creations. Here are a few unique mojo bag ideas I've been working with based on the herbs we have in the Candle Wick Shoppe. If you're wondering if we have herbs that could help you with what you are working on, or that focus on something specific, please feel free to contact us on facebook with your questions.

A Dream Mojo Bag: Add wormwood to this mojo bag for prophetic dreams.

• Chamomile: Draws you into a peaceful sleep.
• Mullein: Use to keep away nightmares.
• Rosemary: The herb of remembrance; using this will help you to remember your dreams.
• Sage: Will create more vivid dreams.
• Amethyst: For intuition and wisdom; will assist you with understanding your dreams.

For Studying/Tests:

• Vervain: Assists one with retaining knowledge.
• Calendula: Add this to your mojo bag for a little bit of positive energy; studying tends to create a lot of stressful energy, and you want to counter that. The herb also helps one to concentrate.
• Scullcap: Promotes peace and relaxation.
• Bay Leaf (ground): Add a little bit of ground bay leaf for success in your endeavors.
• Mahogany Obsidian: The finishing touch; add this for grounding and concentration.

To Bring Paying Clients:

• Jezebel Root: Attracts wealthy patrons.
• Patchouli: "Patchouli's grounded energy helps you be your true divine self, thus attracting people and promoting their cooperation and possible partnership."
• High John Root: Brings luck; often a base for money mojo bags.
• Raw Garnet: Promotes success in business affairs.

Your connection to the energy in the Akashic is the most intimate relationship you can have.  Chapter 5, Page 47, Paragraph 1.

I've gotten into the habit of using the same few herbs in my work lately and I felt that today was the day to branch out. I mean, we have an entire wall full of herbs here at Candle Wick to choose from, so I've created some interesting herb concoctions made from Wicked Good Herbs that we have at the shop.

Calming

• Lavender: Lavender is full of loving energy and promotes self-love and peacefulness. It also calms uncontrolled emotions.
• Lemon Verbena Leaf: Not only does this herb boost whatever kind of spell you are working on, it is also great for cleansing and getting rid of those nasty feelings that keep you from chilling out.
• Raspberry: Combine this with the two herbs above it for a little bit of patience.

Road Opener

• Yarrow Flower: "Yarrow connects you directly to divine wisdom. With divine wisdom at your back, your fears are replaced by courage....." This will give you the courage you need to remove whatever is keeping you from your goals.
• St. John's Wort: Use to ward away negative forces and evil. Removing negativity leads to a more prepared you.
• Mullein: Use to drive away those annoying road blocks.

Passion

• Jasmine Flower: This flower attracts physical, emotional, and spiritual love.
• Patchouli: "Sexual desire can be aroused when patchouli's aroma is shared. It releases anxiety around sex, promotes lust, and stimulates passion between two people."
• Amber Resin: Enhances and empowers whatever spell or intention you are projecting. It also attracts loving energy.

Happiness

• Clover: Clover brings in the vibration of healthy connections in relationships, friendships, marriage and love.
• Dandelion Leaf: Often used for divination, Dandelion is also great for wishing and happiness spells. Dandelion is sacred to Hekate, so it is very protective.
• Fenugreek Seed: Fenugreek's magic starts with the mind. It opens up the door to more possibilities and inspires new direction of your actions, as well as cleares out your fears.

We all know how to die, but do we know how to live?  Chapter 6, Title.

So as everyone knows, I tend to write solely what I believe is able to be customized to situations. But what if you have a very specific situation that needs addressing? What if you need a little help finding what candles, herbs, stones etc. that would help you better the situation? Well I'm glad you asked! Usually, I'd tell you to come to the shop and allow me to pull something specific to your situation. Well, What if you can't get  to the shop? You may be an online customer. That doesn't mean that I have forgotten about you guys. I thought I would let you in on a tiny snippet of what I use for various situations in my life, and you could use that as a guide.

For the last couple weeks my honey and I have been a wee bit more that a little ruffled with each other. For various reasons we've had a little time apart. During that time apart, I decided to take advantage of all the advice I give to others in similar situations, and light some candles, take a bubble bath, and have a tasty libation of some sort.

Here's what I did. I grabbed my Happiness Blessed Herbal Candle, Love's Enchantment Blessed Herbal Candle , Energy and Will Blessed Herbal Candle, Heart Blessed Herbal Candle, and Healing Blessed Herbal Candle, grabbed my pie plate I use for candles only, rubbed on a couple drops of Everything and Then Some oil and set the wicks ablaze. I stated out loud my intention, which just so happened to be to smooth things out with my honey and return us to the happiness that was our norm, wrote down the specifics of our situation and burned the paper.

Pretty simple really. That can easily be customized to any woes that may be troubling you. Now go and smooth out and state your intention to the universe. If you never ask, how are you to receive?

Never has there been a better place than to hang out in a room that manifests the tools you require to heal, create, and learn when you desire them.  Chapter 4, Page 40, Paragraph 2.

Essential oils used for aromatherapy purposes can easily be incorporated into everyday living to help create well-being and a healthful balance.  Page 87.

It's up to all of us to make sure there are many more random acts of kindness than acts of crabbiness (or violence) occurring in this world.  Chapter 3, Page 18.

Life's a game, and the universe won't advance you until you've earned it.  Chapter 4, Page 37, Paragraph 1.
